Pottery is an amazing outlet to create a piece of expression and function. The process is very natural and it can have a therapeutic connection to the potter. Clay is a natural material from the earth. Water and air is used to manipulate the clay, while fire changes its composition into a ceramic, solid piece. Yet the human touch is what forms it into something real, functional, decorative, and personal.
